Wetland Restoration Team Position Description

Positions of ‘Wetland Restoration Team Volunteer’ are currently available with us. Volunteers would mostly work with the Research Team involved in Restoration of Dheerpur Wetland Park (click here to know more).

Title: Wetland Restoration Team Volunteer

Supervisor: Dr Suresh Babu, Director, CUES

Objective: Work with the wetland care staff to do ecological restoration at Dheerpur Wetland park.


  • ecological and vegetation sampling
  • ecological monitoring
  • collection of grass
  • soil collection
  • water collection and testing


  • ability to work as part of a team
  • ability to learn plant species

Training: The supervisor will provide on-the-job training in plant identification, proper tool use, and safe work techniques.

Schedule and Commitment: Wetland Restoration Team volunteer can volunteer once a week. Work is weekdays, typically in 2 to 3 hours shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
