Swathi completed her Masters in English Literature at JNU with a Masters dissertation on “The Animal Poetry of A.K. Ramanujan”. She was previously involved in Bharatanatyam in the Wild, a dance-video project that examined the cultural, aesthetic and gendered disruptions of performing a traditionally sheltered classical dance in ‘un-sanitised’ urban spaces. She is currently interested in exploring convergences between urban political ecology and environmental aesthetics.
